The woods that were here first.
The Trails
Two trails wind through a hundred acres of conserved green space. The Mt. Tabor Trail runs more than two miles through early-successional forest and meadow, past nest boxes for osprey, bluebirds, kestrels, owls, and bats, native prairie plots, and a pollinator garden. The South Walking Trail is an easy one-mile loop through an old-growth maple-beech forest, best in spring for the ephemerals and in fall for the leaves.
